From 1986 to 1989, the Mercury Sable has a steering wheel size of 15 1/2" x 3" (diameter x grip circumference) (Class A).
Between 1990 and 1993, the size was adjusted to 15" x 3 1/2" (Class AX).
From 1994 to 2003, the size was 15" x 3 3/4" (Class AXX).
In 2004, the size was updated to 15" x 4" (Class C), which continued through 2009.
